Meeting & Event Coordinator
Julia came to Status Plus in 2017 with over 20 years of hospitality, meetings and events experience. She started her experience in one of the original boutique hotels in Minnesota, The Whitney Hotel, in the Mill City District of downtown Minneapolis. Over the years Julia has worked in a variety of industries and roles that create a unique array of knowledge from promotional marketing, retail, catering, logistics, educational meetings and extravagant, creative events for: for-profit corporations and non-profit associations, and private clients. She has won multiple industry awards over the years for her creative and unique events. In 2012 Julia began working in meetings and events with a for-profit online university managing their academic residencies and commencement programs around the USA and internationally. She also managed the university’s online and traveling store, tripling its size and profits in one year.
Julia has a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education and a Masters of Business Administration (MBA) from Augsburg College in Minneapolis. She also holds a certificate as a Certified Meeting Professional (CMP) and membership with Meeting Professionals International (MPI).
In her free time, Julia enjoys traveling to see friends or family, especially if it includes spending time with her nieces and nephews. She lives in Minneapolis with her 8-year-old black lab.
